Macau Golden Week deals 2026: what's actually discounted

Let's be honest first: Golden Week is not a discount season in Macau. It is the single busiest week of the year, and prices are set for it. But there are real discounts hiding in three places: attraction vouchers on Klook, a government-backed mega sale on dining, and the last two nights of the week when hotel rates fall off a cliff. This is what's worth booking right now, checked on 3 October 2026.
Hotels: peak pricing, one exception
The honest picture, from GGRAsia's 22 September survey: 21 of the 36 luxury hotels at Macau casino resorts were already full for at least 5 of the 7 Golden Week nights. Sold out all week included Wynn Palace, MGM Cotai, Banyan Tree, Galaxy Hotel, JW Marriott and the Londoner properties. Rooms still available were priced from about MOP 4,000 a night up to MOP 15,000, before taxes and service charges. Mid-range 3 and 4 star hotels ran MOP 1,000 to 2,000 a night, per the Hotel Association via AGBrief.
The exception is the tail end. GGRAsia found double-digit year-on-year rate drops on rooms still available for the nights of 6 and 7 October, at properties like MGM Macau, MGM Cotai and City of Dreams' Morpheus. If your dates are flexible, shifting to the last two nights is the single biggest saving available this week.
Shows and attractions: the real deals
Klook's everyday discounts keep working through Golden Week, and several beat the door price by a wide margin. All prices below are Klook voucher prices in US dollars, with instant confirmation and bookable for today.
House of Dancing Water. The voucher is US$65.00 (down from US$86.45), 4.8 out of 5 from 20,000 reviews, 400,000 booked. The equivalent Gallery seat at the door is MOP 698, so this is a genuine saving. Note the seat plan changes on 29 October, but Golden Week shows are unaffected.

Macau Tower Skywalk X. US$85.99 with free tower admission, a certificate, t-shirt and crew photos included. The open-top bus night tour is US$20.49 with an English and Chinese guide. The observation deck voucher is US$18.15 (down from US$25.75), valid to 31 December 2026. The bungy and skyjump carry flash-sale labels, but we could not verify the current discounted totals, so we are not quoting them.

Buffet and dining: the mega sale caveat
The deepest dining discounts this week are in MGTO's Experience Macao MEGA SALE, valid for travel from 25 September to 30 November 2026. The headline offers are remarkable: Studio City Spotlight buffet lunch from HK$88 (originally HK$284), dinner buy-one-get-one-free from HK$346, Grand Lisboa Palace's Grand Buffet lunch from HK$285, JW Marriott Urban Kitchen from HK$215 including the service charge, and the Macau Tower 360 revolving restaurant lunch for two from HK$243.

What not to expect a deal on
Gondolas. The Venetian gondola runs holiday pricing all week: MOP 195 per adult, up from MOP 165 on weekdays. Buy in advance for holiday dates.
Hotels mid-week. With occupancy this high, last-minute walk-in rates at the big resorts will be at the top of the range, not the bottom. The 6 to 7 October window is the play, or look at Taipa and Coloane guesthouses if the Strip is full.
