Getting to Macau: book your crossing
Updated 1 October 2026
Every bookable way across from Hong Kong, in one place: ferries, direct coaches, the bridge bus and private transfers. Fares from the April 2026 tariff; the live listing governs.
Ferries from Hong Kong
The classic crossing, about 70 minutes from Sheung Wan. Two operators, both bookable online with instant confirmation and a QR code you scan straight at the boarding gates. Book the sailing time you want; tickets are for a specific departure. Ferries suspend when the typhoon signal reaches 8 or above.
Ferry
TurboJET

Ferry
Cotai Water Jet
Sheung Wan to Taipa only, run by the Sands. The natural pick for Cotai Strip stays, since the terminal sits beside the resorts. Cotai Class from HK$192 weekday daytime, HK$209 weekends, HK$242 at night; Cotai First from HK$330.

Buses across the bridge
Two very different bus options. One is the cheapest crossing in the region and can't be booked online through us; the other is a proper bookable coach from downtown Hong Kong to Macau hotels.
Bus · cheapest
HZMB shuttle bus ("Golden Bus")
HK$65 daytime (06:00-23:59), HK$70 overnight, about 45 minutes over the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, running 24 hours every 5-10 minutes at peak. One suitcase per person (max 20 kg). The catch: the bridge ports sit on the outskirts of both cities, so budget connecting transport at each end. Tickets are sold at the port counters, or in advance through the operator's official channels (hzmbus.com and the official WeChat account). There is no affiliate booking for this one, so this is the honest version: just buy it at the port.

Direct cross-border coach
Eternal East runs coaches from downtown Hong Kong pickup points (Kwun Tong, Diamond Hill, Kwai Fong and others) straight to Macau, via the bridge, with hotel drop-offs on the Macau side. E-ticket on your phone, show up 15 minutes before departure. You still clear immigration at both ports with your luggage, like everyone else. Fixed schedules, limited seats: book at least a day ahead, earlier on holidays.
