Macau Grand Prix from Hong Kong: the ticket + ferry package, explained

Published 13 October 2026

The deal in one line: the official Macau Ticketing box office has sold out every stand for Grand Prix Saturday and Sunday (21–22 November 2026), and this bundle, a weekend race ticket plus the Cotai Water Jet ferry from Hong Kong, is the straightforward way in that remains, from US$49.49. Here is exactly what you get, what each stand option costs, and the two catches to know before you pay. All prices and terms below were checked against the live booking page on 13 October 2026.

What the package actually includes

The three stand options, priced

Each option bundles one race ticket with one ferry ticket. Checked on the live product page, 13 October 2026:

For scale: the official face values for the weekend were MOP 750 (Grand Stand), MOP 400 (Reservoir) and MOP 1,200 (Lisboa Bend) per day, and every one of them is sold out. Confirmation on the bundle is instant, and bookings cannot be cancelled or refunded, so double-check dates before paying. Buy only through authorised outlets: counterfeit and invalid Grand Prix tickets surface every year.

The catch: collect the physical ticket in Sheung Wan

The race ticket in this package is a physical ticket collected in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong: present your voucher and exchange it for the physical ticket at Shop 3040, 3/F, Shun Tak Centre, 168–200 Connaught Road Central, Sheung Wan, on any day from 14 to 22 November 2026, 10:00–17:00. There is no rule that you must collect days in advance, the desk runs right through race weekend itself, but the confirmation email or app voucher on its own does not get you into the grandstand. The collection point is in the same Shun Tak Centre complex as the ferry terminal (MTR Sheung Wan Station, Exit D), so you can collect the ticket and walk straight to your sailing.

Coming via Taiwan? The routing that works is: fly into Hong Kong, collect the ticket in Sheung Wan, then take the ferry over. If your flight lands in Macau instead, you would still need the Sheung Wan pickup first, factor that in before you book. The racing itself is covered in our sister site's 73rd Macau Grand Prix spectator guide.

The crossing: Sheung Wan to Taipa, about an hour

Cotai Water Jet sails from the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan to the Taipa Ferry Terminal in Macau, about one hour, with sailings through the day on the official schedule. For the bundled sailing: present the e-ticket QR code at least 30 minutes before departure, the gate closes 10 minutes before the sailing, staff may ask to see ID, and the e-ticket cannot be transferred or changed.

Two logistics notes. First, book your own return sailing at the same time: homeward ferries after Sunday's racing are busy, and the package does not include one. Second, the ferry lands in Taipa, but the Lisboa Bend Stand sits on the Macau Peninsula, by the Hotel Lisboa. Take a taxi or bus across, and allow generous extra time, roads around the Guia Circuit close on race days and traffic is slow. Staying over? Our Grand Prix hotel views guide covers the trackside rooms, and our Hong Kong to Macau guide compares every crossing.

Still cheap at the official box office: Thursday and Friday

The bundle covers the weekend only. Thursday 19 and Friday 20 November, practice and qualifying, are a different, much cheaper ticket sold separately through official channels. As checked on 13 October 2026, all three stands (Grand Stand, Reservoir Stand and Lisboa Bend Stand) are still available for those days at MOP 100, unreserved seating, the mirror image of the sold-out weekend. If you can add a day, it is the cheapest Grand Prix viewing there is. Stand-by-stand prices are in the Grand Prix tickets guide.

How to book

On the product page: choose your stand, pick your ferry sailing time, and complete the checkout (confirmation is instant; bookings cannot be cancelled or refunded, so double-check your dates first). Then: (1) collect the physical ticket at Shop 3040, 3/F Shun Tak Centre, Sheung Wan, any day from 14 to 22 November, 10:00–17:00; (2) book your own return ferry sailing; (3) book the hotel. Ticket in hand first, everything else after.
