Macau show tickets: where to buy, and what you should pay

Published 19 October 2026

Macau has exactly two big resident productions worth building a night around, plus one timed-entry exhibition that sells tickets the same way. Everything else is touring dates that come and go. This guide covers the three you can actually plan around: what they cost at face value, where the verified tickets are sold, which seats are worth the money, and the sellers to avoid. Prices and schedules below were checked against live sources on 19 October 2026, and the listing for your date always governs.

House of Dancing Water, City of Dreams

The headline act. An aquatic acrobatics production in a purpose-built theatre at City of Dreams, Cotai, with a stage pool holding 17 million litres of water. Performances run about 90 minutes with no interval, at 4:30pm and 7:30pm on show days, and the theatre is dark on Mondays and Tuesdays. The current published calendar runs to 31 December 2026.

Face values. Five public seat zones run from the back of the house to the front: Gallery, Signature, Grand, Premium and Golden Circle. Box office prices run from MOP 698 (Gallery) to MOP 1,598 (Golden Circle). Rows A and B of each zone are the splash area, and waterproof gear is provided on those seats. The two VVIP boxes are MOP 28,000 and MOP 38,000 and are not a real-world option for most readers.

The deal worth knowing. City of Dreams runs an early bird offer on its own offers page: 20% off designated House of Dancing Water tickets booked at least 14 days in advance, which takes a Gallery seat from MOP 698 to MOP 558. On the offer's current terms the promotion period runs to 17 March 2027, for performances up to 31 March 2027, across the Gallery, Signature and Grand sections. If your dates are fixed, that is the cleanest discount on this show anywhere.

Which seats? The theatre wraps around the pool, so there are no truly bad views, and the honest value pick is the middle zones: Grand or Premium give you the full stage picture without Golden Circle money. Splash rows are fun and close, and you will get wet. Gallery at the back is the budget pick and still sees everything, just further away.

Macau 2049, MGM Theater at MGM Cotai

The second resident production: an 80-minute culture and technology show directed by Zhang Yimou at the MGM Theater inside MGM Cotai, built around Chinese intangible cultural heritage performed with lasers, robotics and large-scale visuals. There is no dialogue to follow, which makes it an easy pick for mixed-language groups.

Schedule and prices. From 1 August 2026 the show schedule moved to a 3pm start on performance days, so plan it as a matinee, not an evening show. Tickets are priced by section at MOP 288, MOP 488, MOP 688 and MOP 888 on the official show site, and tickets are sold as non-refundable and not exchangeable. MGM also sells a parent and child package: one child aged 12 or under goes free with each adult ticket. Buy through the official Macau 2049 site or the MGM box office; we do not carry a booking button for this one because there is no verified affiliate listing for it.

teamLab SuperNature Macao, The Venetian

Not a stage show, but it sells like one: a timed-entry immersive exhibition at The Venetian Macao that you book for a set day, in a 5,000 square metre space of interactive light and nature installations. It is open 11am to 7pm, last entry 6:15pm, closed on Wednesdays.

Prices. Gate prices are MOP 288 for adults and MOP 208 for children aged 3 to 12, with under 3s free. The Floating Flower Garden and EN TEA HOUSE areas are add-ons at around MOP 100. Platform prices move around the gate price, so compare the live listing below against the gate before paying.

Where to buy, and where not to

1. The venue box office or official site. Face value, exact seat selection, and the only place early bird offers like the House of Dancing Water 20% discount live. This is the default for fixed dates.

2. A verified platform listing for the exact production. The Klook listings linked from this page are the exact product pages for these shows, with e-vouchers and occasional pricing below face value. Check the date, show time and seat zone on the listing itself before paying, because platform tickets are generally final sale.

3. Your hotel concierge. Useful for same-day seats at face value plus a service margin. Fine in a pinch.

Avoid: resellers on social media, ticket touts outside venues, and bundled "VIP packages" from sellers you cannot verify. Show tickets are date and seat specific, and a screenshot of someone else's e-ticket is worth nothing at the door. If a price looks far below face value anywhere except the venue's own early bird offer, there is a reason.

For the rest of a show night out, our experience deals page carries the other verified ticketed attractions, and whatsonmacau.com has a new nightlife guide for what to do after the curtain.
